Career Day for North High School Students

When did you KNOW what you wanted to be when you grew up? These young people are getting closer to knowing that answer for themselves.

North High School will host a Career Day for all their 949 students on Thursday, November 8 beginning at 8:25 a.m. Students have signed up to visit with guest speakers to further explore career fields. More than 75 speakers from the local community will be on hand to visit with students.

Students in grades 9 through 12 have pre-registered to learn first-hand knowledge for occupations such as surgeon, lawyer, architect, welder, pilot, tattoo artist, chemist, Peace Corps worker, journalist, newscaster, and more. Guest speakers come from the community, local colleges and universities, technical and trade associations, businesses, etc., and will provide information specific to their careers to the students through PowerPoint presentations, video clips, Q and A sessions, and informal discussions.
