ND FFA Members Earn Blue Jackets

342 North Dakota Future Farmers of America(FFA) members applied for a blue jacket through the North Dakota FFA Foundation’s (ND FFA Foundation) Blue Jackets, Bright Futures program. The program provides the iconic corduroy jacket to members who may not have the financial resources and/or to those who have displayed the qualities and values of the FFA including leadership and personal growth.

Members in grades 7-10 participated in an essay contest for the chance to earn a jacket, and each jacket given through this program is sponsored by a donor.  Any individual can become a jacket sponsor with a contribution of $74. While the application period closed on November 6th with a total of 342 applications, the ND FFA Foundation is only able to provide 260 blue jackets, which will be given to recipients in January 2019 at the ND FFA Winter Leadership Conferences in Bismarck, ND.
