Slumberland to Provide 64 Children Beds Before the Holidays

After reviewing 91 applications, The Salvation Army has selected 64 applicants to receive a bed for children who are 17 and under. Each child will receive a twin mattress, frame, sheet set and quilt that has been handmade by local volunteers.

Slumberland has been facilitating Home for the Holidays for 24 years and The Salvation Army have partnered for the last 5 years. Last year 72 were given to children in the community.

“This is the most important event we have all year and not one mattress will be sold”, said Derick Vettleson, General Manager.
