The West Fargo Police Department launched the #PinkPatchProject online auction Thursday at www.32auctions.com/WFPDPinkPatchProject2018 to raise money for the Edith Sanford Breast Center. From today through Friday, Dec. 7, the public can bid on special autographed pink patches that were worn by West Fargo Police Department officers during the month of October and patches signed by celebrities with local connections to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Each patch available for purchase notes the department member who wore the patch during the month, including Chief Heith Janke, Assistant Chief Jerry Boyer, K9’s Disco and ToSti, School Resource Officers Jason Balvik, Rhonda Jorgenson and Todd Pearson, as well as lieutenants, sergeants, detectives and officers. Patches from officers Michael Pietron, Grant Richardson and Kyle Johnson, who were featured in this summer’s viral Backstreet Boys lip-sync challenge video, and officer Brock Ackerman from the department’s “Brock’s Bits” social media video series are also included. Special patches signed by former North Dakota State University and current Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, local former The Voice contestant Blind Joe and The Deadliest Catch cast member Lenny Lekanoff are also available for purchase.
