The Fargo Police Department is notifying the public that the Red River Valley SWAT Team will be conducting routine training at the old City Hall, 200 3 St. N., on Wednesday, December 7, 2018 from Noon to 8 p.m., and Thursday, December 8, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The training will consist of explosive breaching at times which will cause a loud noise when deployed. “The Red River Valley SWAT team conducts routine, monthly trainings where they utilize vacant buildings to provide life like scenarios to train. The unoccupied, old City Hall building provides a unique opportunity to conduct a large scale scenario training where our operators can build and maintain the skills necessary to operate safely in the operation of their duties on a day to day basis,” says Lieutenant William Ahlfeldt, SWAT Commander.
