Fargo Police Warns of Road Closures for Trump Visit

The Fargo Police Department is working with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to prepare for President Trump’s visit to Fargo.  We are advising the public to expect traffic delays in the late afternoon and early evening on Wednesday, June 27.  The rally is being held at the Scheel’s Arena from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with doors opening to those with tickets at 4 p.m.

We ask all metro residents to prepare for increased traffic with temporary street closures and delays in the areas between the airport and the Scheel’s Arena for President Trump’s motorcade.  Unfortunately, many of the security details, to include the specific street closures, during President Trump’s visit are being withheld due to operational security needs.  We encourage commuters to seek alternative traffic routes and to plan ahead.

Commuters, event participants, and spectators can also expect heavier than normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the Scheel’s Arena.  We are reminding all event participants and spectators that parking in the Scheel’s Arena is limited, and adjacent streets are subject to applicable parking restrictions.  Any vehicles found in violation of City of Fargo parking ordinances may be subject to ticketing, or towing if the vehicle presents a traffic hazard or obstruction.

Additionally, event participants should visit the Scheel’s Arena website at www.scheelsarena.com for parking information and a listing of prohibited items.
