Jefferson Elementary to Host Secret Santa Shop

Most are too young ride public transportation by themselves, and they certainly don’t have their drivers’ licenses yet. Very few even have a steady stream of income. None of that will stop these elementary students from getting a little gift shopping accomplished this holiday season!

The K – 5 students of Jefferson Elementary School will have an opportunity to do their own holiday gift shopping at the Jefferson Secret Santa Shop on Saturday, December 8 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., sponsored by the Jefferson Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). No parents are allowed into the store, where all items cost $1 and include gift wrapping. Parents are invited to wait in a separate room while their student shops. Please note: this is a private shopping event, only open to Jefferson students.

Jefferson students may purchase items appropriate for parents, siblings, grandparents, babies, and even pets.

Items for sale have either been purchased by the Jefferson PTA or donated by every department from the City of Fargo, which is Jefferson’s Adopt-A-School education partner. Students will find household goods, tools, kitchen items, toys, games, books, candles, pet toys, baby bibs, and more for everyone on their list.

Volunteer shop helpers are student members of the South High School National Honor Society, PTA parents, Jefferson teachers, and City of Fargo employees. They will help the students select items, make their purchases, and then wrap the gifts.
