Farm Bill Conference Report Signed

The Farm Bill conference report has been signed and will now be voted on by both the House and Senate.

The bill strengthens the farm safety net and provides important tools to help see North Dakota farmers and ranchers through hard times.

North Dakota Senator John Hoeven is a member of the conference committee, the fourth highest ranking majority member of the Senate Agriculture Committee and the chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee.

Hoeven says the long-term bill provides producers with the tools needed to succeed, not only now, but in the coming years.

There is no word on a date for the final vote in both chambers.
