Fargo Firefighters Responds to Blaze

On Saturday Fargo firefighters responded to a reported house fire, located at 2001 28th Avenue South. On arrival, light smoke was showing out of the second floor windows and front door. Firefighters made entry through the front door and encountered heavy smoke. Firefighters were able to control the fire within 10 minutes of arriving on scene.

One adult and one juvenile were home at the time of the fire. They were alerted by their smoke detectors and able to exit the home safely.

There were no injuries; however, the house sustained heavy smoke and fire damage. All of the residents have been displaced and are working with the Red Cross for temporary housing. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental, and the kitchen will need extensive repair.
