A 26-year-old Grand Forks woman is facing multiple charges following a chase last week.
Amanda Marie Marzolf faces three Class C felony charges—Fleeing a Peace Officer, Reckless Endangerment and Simple Assault.
In addition, Marzolf faces a charge of a Class A misdemeanor of Hindering Law Enforcement.
The charges stem from an incident on December 10, in which a deputy from the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office was attempting to remove a passenger from Marzolf’s vehicle on active warrants for arrest.
At that time, Marzolf took off, and the deputy had to let go of the passenger, starting a pursuit. The pursuit was terminated due to high speeds, running multiple stop signs, nearly striking several vehicles and entering a school zone.
A deputy was injured in the incident, after being drug by the vehicle for a short distance.
