Sen. Torrey Westrom’s Statement on Gov.-elect Walz’s Appointee for MHFA Commissioner

Senator Torrey Westrom, Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Rural Development and Housing Finance Committee, released the following statement in response to Governor-elect Walz naming Jennifer Ho as his appointee to serve as Commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA):

“I send my thanks to outgoing MHFA Commissioner, Mary Tingerthal, for her service to the state as commissioner for the last 8 years. With her departure, we will conduct our review of Governor-elect Walz’s commissioner appointee, Jennifer Ho. As Chair of the Senate Agriculture, Rural Development and Housing Finance Committee, I look forward to working together on veterans housing, innovative workforce housing solutions, and holding down the cost per unit of affordable housing through commonsense reforms and reducing unnecessary regulations.”
