There were 6,000 people inside Scheels Arena Wednesday night for what was one of the biggest night of the 2018 calendar year.
That’s because President Donald Trump was in town for a rally in support of Kevin Cramer. Trump, who arrived in Fargo around 6:45 p.m., spoke on the importance of having Cramer in Washington, DC. Rick Berg, ND Republican Chairman, and former North Dakota Governor, Ed Schaefer, spoke prior to Trump’s keynote address.
He said that having two votes is very important. Many times throughout the rally, the crowd chanted “USA! USA! USA!”
Throughout the night, Trump talked about the different issues surrounding the United States.
One of those issues is trade.
“We are going to make trade fair and reciprocal,” President Trump said.
President Trump said he was dealt a bad hand. But he says work is progressing.
“The more we rush, the worse it’s going to be,” he said. “Taking advantage of the United States is over.”
$6 billion has been set aside for the opioid crisis, Trump said Wednesday.
He said that those gathered were tied together by the same core values.
“In everything we do, we are standing up for our citizens, for America and for North Dakota,” Trump proclaimed. “With your help, your voice and your vote, we will win, win, win.”
His last words? We Will Make America Great Again.
