California Woman Cited in Crash

On Monday, at approximately 3:32 p.m., officers from the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to the Columbia Road overpass for a report of a three vehicle accident.

A 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by Ruth Halcrow, from Carson, Calif., was northbound over the Columbia overpass when she lost control and spun out.  Halcrow’s vehicle struck a 2006 Toyota Highlander, driven by Tim Driscoll, of Grand Forks, whom was southbound on the Overpass.  Halcrow’s vehicle continued and struck a second vehicle, a 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by Grant Dunham, of Grand Forks, whom was also southbound.  Halcrow was transported by Altru Ambulance for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.  Halcrow was cited with Care Required.

The Columbia Overpass was closed down for approximately 45 minutes while the crash was investigated, and the scene cleaned up.
