9-1-1 Hang Up Call Nets Arrest, Possible Additional Charges Pending

A 9-1-1 hang up call in Fargo led to an arrest of a 32-year-old Fargo woman.

At around 3:42 this morning, Fargo Police officers were dispatched to a 9-1-1 hang up call at an apartment, located in the 3300 block of 31st Avenue South.

When officers arrived on scene, an adult male victim was located. He had sustained a minor stab wound to his abdomen. The male was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.

An investigation ensued and is ongoing at this time. It is believed that the victim and suspect knew each other and were fighting inside the apartment during the incident.

32-year-old Chelsea Sorby, of Fargo, was arrested for violating a protection order.

Fargo Police Department Public Information Officer Jessica Schindeldecker tells WZFG News that the incident report has been forwarded to the State’s Attorney for the violation for order of protection and aggravated assault, but no additional arrests, other than the violation for order of protection, have been made as of Friday afternoon.
