Severe Weather Possible Tonight

 

The US National Weather Service office in Grand Forks has issued a statement that severe weather is possible tonight in the Red River Valley. According to Vince Godon, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, the greatest risk for severe weather is after midnight. The greatest risk for severe weather is in an area from extreme northeastern North Dakota to central North Dakota, to near the Fargo area. After midnight, the severe storms are likely along and north of the I-94 corridor. Hail two inches in diameter or greater, wind gusts up to 75 miles per hour or greater, isolated tornadoes and localized heavy rain is possible in these storms.
