Celebration Turns to Disappointment for Former Bison

For one Fargo couple, the celebration and excitement of Saturday’s FCS National Championship for the NDSU Bison has turned to utter disappointment.

Sierra Kreft and her boyfriend, former NDSU defensive tackle Nate Tanguay, found out early Sunday morning that many of their most prized possessions—including the famed number 99 jerseys that Tanguay wore as a member of the national champion Bison—had been stolen sometime Saturday into early Sunday morning.

Kreft tells WZFG News that the items were still in her garage when she returned home shortly after the championship game Saturday, but not when she returned home after celebrating with friends and family on Sunday.

Kreft said she knew something was awry when she came home to an open garage door—and her intuition was right.

Kreft says she just wants their possessions back—no questions asked.
