Fargo Public Schools to Hold State of the Schools Address and Public Focus Group

Fargo’s public school district will share an update on the current state of the school district along with gathering public input regarding the focus for public education moving forward.

The Fargo Public Schools will hold the 2018-19 State of the Schools Address and Public Focus Group on Thursday, January 10 from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. at South High School, 1840 South 15th Avenue, Fargo.

Fargo Public Schools Superintendent Mr. Rupak Gandhi will preside over the State of the Schools Address for the 2018-19 school year in the school auditorium.  After the address, participants will break out into small focus groups for discussion. Questions posed in the focus groups will concentrate on a language immersion program, guidelines for setting school attendance boundaries, and the District’s dress code policy.

Community members, parents, and Fargo Public Schools staff members have pre-registered to participate in the public focus group portion of the event.  Attendees received reading materials in advance of the event. The goal is to gather community feedback as the District sets the course for the future of Fargo Public Schools and the education it provides Fargo students.
