SEVERE WEATHER: Storms begin rolling through

 

The National Weather Service has begun predicting that strong to severe thunderstorms would be impacting the region. As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, warnings had already began being issued for the Red River Valley. At 2:13 p.m., National Weather Service doppler radar was tracking severe thunderstorms along a line extending from near Brooks, Minn., to near Rindal, Minn., to six miles east of Lockhart and then to Calendonia. Those storms are moving off to the southeast slowly, at 25 miles per hour. 60 mile per hour wind gusts, along with quarter size hail, are expected with this storm.
