Grand Forks Police ID Crash Victim

 

The Grand Forks Police Department has identified the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatality crash in the city Saturday night.

According to the police department, 38-year-old Shaun Sabin, Grand Forks, was northbound on the 900 block of South Washington Street, in a white sedan.

The sedan struck the back end of a pickup. The pickup pulled over while the white sedan went around it and continued on Washington Street.

According to witnesses, the sedan then traveled into the southbound lane of Washington Street, going northbound, then drifted back into the northbound lane, where it collided with a signal pole.

Sabin was the lone occupant of the vehicle, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Sabin was transported to the UND Forensic Pathology Center for an autopsy.

The crash is still under investigation.
