Grand Forks Fire Displaces Apartment Tenants

 

A fire at a Grand Forks apartment building has displaced some tenants of the building.

The fire was reported Saturday afternoon at an apartment building on 32nd Avenue South in Grand Forks. When crews arrived on scene, they noticed a haze of smoke from one of the apartment’s windows on the third floor.

Crews quickly located and extinguished the fire, which was in the bathroom of the apartment. No injuries to the residents or firefighters were reported as a result of the blaze.

The resident of the affected apartment was displaced and was provided housing by the American Red Cross.

The fire, which is currently under investigation, caused approximately $10,000 worth of damage.
