Fargo and West Fargo Public Schools Cancel Classes for Tuesday

From AnnMarie CampbellExecutive Assistant to the Superintendent & Secretary to the Board of Education, Fargo Public Schools

All classes and extra-curricular activities are cancelled for students of the Fargo Public Schools for Tuesday, January 29, including the Early Childhood Special Education pre-school and Adult Learning Center.  This decision has been made due to the combination of extreme cold temperatures and wind.

Extreme cold temperatures are forecasted into this week; school closure decisions will be made one day at a time after the most up-to-date weather forecast is available.

From Heather Leas, Public Relations Coordinator & School Safety & Security Coordinator with West Fargo Public Schools

For tomorrow, Tuesday, January 29, school and activities (inclusive of meetings, trainings, rentals, practices, and contests) have been cancelled.

There will be YMCA preschool programming at the Early Childhood Center.

The West Fargo Sports Arena and Hulbert Aquatic Center will be closed.  Any scheduled events, practices, or rentals are cancelled.

All district office and 12-month employees should report to work at their regularly scheduled time.  If unable to do so, they should call their supervisor to make alternate arrangements.

We will need to use a scheduled storm makeup day.  March 14 is now a day that students and staff are expected to be at school.
