Click It Or Ticket Campaign Ramps Up

The law enforcement agencies across North Dakota are preparing to ramp up the Click It or Ticket campaign, a news release from the North Dakota Department of Transportation says. From July 1 to August 12, law enforcement agencies across the state will have extra patrols on the roads enforcing the state seat belt law. The effort is funded through federal grants administered by the North Dakota Department of Transportation. In 2017, every seven days one unbelted person in a vehicle died in a motor vehicle crash in North Dakota. In 2018, eight North Dakota traffic fatalities involved non-use of seat belts, down compared to last year to this time, when North Dakota had seen 22 fatalities due to non-use of seat belts.
