Bill to Allow For Meal Reimbursement Fails

 

A bill that would allow members of the legislative assembly to receive reimbursement for meals during the legislative session has failed.

House Bill 1505, introduced by Representative Keith Kempenich, a Republican from Bowman, was sent to committee on January 24, reported back to the House on January 28 with a do not pass recommendation, and officially went to the House floor for vote on Thursday.

The bill failed on the house floor, with 85 votes against the bill and six votes in favor of the bill.
