A 26-year-old Petersburg man was transported to Altru Hospital Thursday after his Chevy Silverado collided with a snowplow.
Brandon Trenda was eastbound on Grand Forks County Road 1 Thursday when a John Deere 770GP Plow, driven by 64-year-old Thomas Durkin, of Inkster, entered the intersection, where his snowplow’s blade struck the driver’s side of Trenda’s vehicle.
Durkin was driving the snowplow south on Grand Forks County Road 19, actively clearing snow near the intersection of County Roads 19 and 1.
The snowplow is owned by the Grand Forks County Highway Department.
Charges and the crash are under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
