Human Remains Found In Beltrami County

An investigation is underway as human remains were found on February 5 in Eckles Township, Minnesota.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says that, with the help of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s Crime Science team, what is believed to be the human remains of two people were found.

The human remains have been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and positive ID of the individuals.

Two individuals of interest have been identified, and one was placed under arrest for un-related criminal charges and is being held at the Beltrami County Jail.

The investigation is continuing.
