A body has been found in the English Coulee Diversion Pond approximately 14 miles southwest of Grand Forks.
Kayakers called in an unattended floating mattress shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday. Grand Forks Water Operations Team and the UAS team were notified. Using an aerial drone and watercraft equipped with underwater sonar, divers recovered a 23-year-old male Grand Forks resident that was found in approximately 10 feet of water about 50 feet from shore.
The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident and the name is being withheld pending notification of the family.
