Grand Forks Red River Coach Placed on Administrative Leave

As the Grand Forks Red River boys hockey team hits the ice today for their first round game at the EDC Hockey Tournament, they’ll do so without head coach Bill Chase.

The tenth year head coach has been placed on administrative leave, according to athletic director Mark Rerick.

In an e-mail to WZFG News, Rerick says “Coach Chase has been placed on indefinite administrative leave.”

As far as the rest of the season goes, Rerick says the school district is “working towards filling the coaching staff for tonight and the remainder of the season.”
