Fargo Library’s Annual ‘Design a Bookmark Contest’ Starts March 1

The Fargo Public Library’s annual “Design a Bookmark Contest” kicks off on Friday, March 1 and runs through March 31. The contest is open all ages, including adults. There are separate entry forms and rules for the children, teen and adult design contests, which can be picked up at any Fargo Public Library location.  Forms and guidelines will also be available at www.fargolibrary.org. Entries will be accepted at all library locations and must be turned in on or before March 31.

For the children’s contest, three winners will be selected in each age group: 0 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12. Children can submit up to three designs and all entries will be displayed in the Children’s Department at the downtown Main Library.

For the teen contest, two winners will be selected – one for each age group: 13 to 15 and 16 to 18. For the adult contest, two winners will be selected. Teens and adults can submit up to two designs and all entries will be displayed at the Dr. James Carlson Library.

Library staff will vote to determine the winners of the contests and winners will be announced in April. Winning bookmark entries will be printed and distributed at all library locations. The kids’ winning originals will be put on permanent display at the Main Library.
