Investigation Leads to Arrest in Fargo

An investigation into recent laundry machine burglaries has resulted in an arrest.

On Thursday, a Fargo officer was investigating the rash of laundry machine burglaries in the 1700 block of 39th Street South. While the officer was investigating, he decided to check a building that had not been reported yet, and found Travis Anthony Lafromboise, 23, of Fargo, actively drilling out a lock in a laundry machine.

Lafromboise was in possession of a very large amount of burglary tools and a homemade explosive device.

The Red River Valley Bomb Squad responded to the scene and confirmed the device was explosive in nature with a small fuse. The device was secured and there were no injuries.

Lafromboise was arrested for burglary, possession of a bomb, and five outstanding warrants.
