Senator Kevin Cramer on President Trump’s 2020 Budget Proposal

U.S. Senator and member of the Senate Budget Committee Kevin Cramer issued the following statement on President Donald J. Trump’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget proposal:

“The President’s budget presents a plan to bolster our national defense and continue the economic policies that have led to historic growth. While I support the overall efforts to reduce the debt and deficit, I disagree with several of the administration’s requested cuts, especially those to critical farm programs. I would prefer to eliminate the waste, fraud, and inefficiencies within our government rather than severely cutting essential services. Now that the President has offered his vision, Congress will offer its own.”
