Several local government agencies have issued state of emergencies in advance of the National Weather Service’s Spring 2019 flood forecast.
On Monday, the City of Fargo declared a state of emergency.
On Tuesday, Grand Forks County and the City of East Grand Forks issued states of emergency.
At Monday night’s City Council meeting in Grand Forks, council members were briefed on the progress for a state of emergency declaration for the city.
City Councilman Danny Weigel tells WZFG News that a declaration is in the works, and will likely come early next week.
