Stabbing Incident Reported In Grand Forks

 

The Grand Forks Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident Thursday morning.

According to a news release, at 9:46 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a reported stabbing at 2012 7thAvenue North.

PSAP received a call from a male who said he had been stabbed by a female. PSAP then received a call from a female who said that it was self defense and the male was armed with a knife. 

Several officers arrived in the area and it was reported the male had fled the area. The area was searched and then the residence was searched and the male was located and detained by officers. After an initial investigation both subjects  were released. The male and female live at this address. Both subjects had minor injuries but declined medical treatment.

The incident is under investigation and there is no threat to the general public.
