As the Senator said, today is a reminder of the story of the ‘Lost 74.’ The U.S.S. Frank E. Evans served multiple tours off the coast of Vietnam and was scheduled to return. They were participating in a nearby training exercise, where it collided with an allied ship, resulting in the death of 74 crew members.
