Fireworks Cause Destruction

A pickup truck carrying thousands of dollars worth of fireworks in its bed caught fire Wednesday near Wyndmere. According to the Richland County Sheriffs Office, the fire happened around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon. Several grass fires were started by the fireworks catching fire, the sheriffs office says. The driver suffered minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. The truck is a total loss.
