An officer with the Warroad Police Department has been arrested and charged following an investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
Joshua Mathew Demmerly, 29, of Warroad, was charged this morning with kidnapping, third degree criminal sexual conduct, and stalking.
BCA agents arrested Demmerly on Tuesday. He made his first court appearance this morning in Roseau County District Court and is currently in the Roseau County Jail.
The BCA is asking any other possible victims to contact the BCA tip line at 1-877-996-6222. Names of victims will not be made public.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
