MnDOT Conducts Geotechnical Drilling on Various City Streets in Moorhead

This month the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin geotechnical drilling along Eleventh Street, Center Avenue, Main Avenue and First Avenue in Moorhead. Motorists can expect daily lane closures as crews perform locates and begin drilling. 

This required work is part of the project development process for the proposed grade separation project. Crews will be collecting bore samples to test soil conditions and structure for future construction.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
