Grand Forks Police have identified the individual found dead early Wednesday morning in the area of Bringwatt Park.
According to Lieutenant Brett Johnson, the victim has been identified as 75-year-old Sidney Bina, of Grand Forks. Johnson says that, although the investigation is in the early stages, the injury appears to be self-inflicted.
Officers were on routine patrol in the area shortly after 1 a.m., when the located Bina lying in the parking lot deceased. There are no indications of foul play or danger to the public.
Altru Ambulance and the Grand Forks County Coroner’s Office assisted Grand Forks Police on the call.
