Rivers Continue to Rise

 

With temperatures above freezing the past couple of days, rivers across the valley are continuing to rise.

As of 2:30 p.m., the Red River at Fargo was sitting at 24.42 feet, which is more than six feet above flood stage. The river is anticipated to rise to 35 feet later this week.

Further south, at Wahpeton, the Red River is at 13.8 feet, which is more than two feet above flood stage. The Red River at Wahpeton has seen a high point of 14.66 feet earlier this week.

The Buffalo River, at Dilworth, is ten feet above flood stage, and has held at around 23 feet since Monday.

The Red River, at Grand Forks, is currently below flood stage.

In the northern Valley, the Forest River at Minto has crept into minor flood stage and is anticipated to stay just below moderate flood stage.

New flood warnings have been issued for the Red River at East Grand Forks and Oslo.
