Interstate 94 from Moorhead to Osakis now open

All no travel advisories lifted in west central Minnesota

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – (7 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and Minnesota State Patrol reopened Interstate 94 from Moorhead to Osakis at 7 a.m. All remaining no travel advisories have also been lifted on state and federal highways in west central Minnesota.

Although visibility has improved throughout the region, roads are completely snow and ice covered. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and drive according to conditions.

MnDOT also reminds motorists to be patient while snowplow operators work to improve driving conditions. The majority of snowplow crashes take place during “clean up” when motorists resume their normal speeds.
