Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train

Fargo Police say that a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Fargo Thursday evening.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., police were called to the railroad tracks east of 2nd Street North at 4th Avenue North for a pedestrian struck by a BNSF train that was eastbound.

When emergency personnel arrived, they found an adult male with significant trauma and he was pronounced deceased by emergency medical staff. This is an area without any vehicle crossings near Wildflower Park.

No further information will be released, and the name is being withheld pending family notification.
