Owen Steckler Benefit on Saturday May 4th

A benefit to help Owen Steckler will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Maple Valley School in Tower City, ND.

10-year old Owen Steckler was diagnosed with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy the summer of 2018.  This rare form of MD primarily affects the hip and shoulder muscles, as well as the heart and lungs.  This summer Owen will participate in a clinical trial in Columbus, OH. This will require several trips there and a month’s long stay during the treatment process.  Proceeds from the benefit will be used towards medical and travel expenses related to treatment and care for his disease. Owen is the son of Brian and Amanda Steckler of Buffalo, ND.

The benefit includes a free will offering for lunch, a kid’s carnival and a silent and live auction.

The Lend A Hand Up program is providing $5,000 of boost funding to uplift generosity.
