University of North Dakota President Mark Kennedy has been named the University of Colorado’s 23rd president, according to a press release from the University of Colorado’s Board of Regents.

The board voted 5-4 to confirm Kennedy for the position, which is being vacated by retiring president Bruce Benson, who is retiring in June after more than 11 years as president at the University of Colorado.
