Moorhead Police Make Arrest Following Standoff

Moorhead Police, the Minnesota State Patrol, SWAT and Clay County deputies were involved in a two-hour standoff Sunday in south Moorhead.

Officers went to arrest a man, on a domestic call, who had outstanding warrants. He proceeded to display a gun, which caused officers to retreat, thus beginning the standoff.

The standoff occurred in an apartment building on 20th Street South, and all residents had to evacuate.

Just before noon, the suspect, Terrance Lee York, was arrested after surrendering to officers.
