Ransom County Man's Death Ruled Homicide

The Ransom County Sheriff’s Office says the death of a man in February has now officially been classified as a homicide.

On February 27 at 8:30 a.m., authorities responded to a rural Milnor residence for a male found deceased. Upon arrival, they found William “Bill” Gulsha deceased in the home.

During the initial investigation, evidence was collected and foul play could not be ruled out. Family, friends, employers, and acquaintances were interviewed and persons of interest were developed. Many staff hours and resources are being dedicated on this multi-state, multi-agency cooperative effort investigation.

The Ransom County Sheriff’s Office is aware of the events that took place in Douglas County, Missouri. The primary person of interest, Barry Wedge, has died. These events will not change the course of the investigation.

The investigation is active and open, and no further details can be released at this time, Sheriff Darren Benneweis said.
