The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the identities of two victims of a rollover crash Wednesday in Grand Forks County.
According to the Patrol, 40-year-old Amanda Brantl, of Mekinock, and her son, three-year-old Atlas Brantl, also of Mekinock, were killed Wednesday when the vehicle they were driving, a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, left 17th Street Northeast, three miles south of Manvel, and overturned, coming to rest upside down, mostly submerged in the Turtle River.
Amanda and Atlas were transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital, where they later died.
The accident is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
