Pursuit Ends in Arrest

A pursuit beginning in West Fargo has ended with a West Fargo man being arrested Thursday.

At approximately 11:56 a.m. Thursday morning, West Fargo Police officers observed a car traveling north near West Fargo High School at a high rate of speed.

An attempt to stop the vehicle was made by officers, which was unsuccessful. The vehicle then turned eastbound onto Main Avenue. Later, the vehicle traveled into oncoming lanes to avoid officers. A few blocks later, the suspect vehicle got back into the correct lanes, leading officers on the pursuit into Fargo via Main Avenue.

The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns. A short time later, the vehicle sideswiped five vehicles stopped at a red light at the intersection of Main Avenue and 36th Street South in Fargo. The vehicle attempted to make a U-turn, striking the back end of a truck and a curb, disabling the suspect vehicle.

The suspect, 23-year-old Trevor Love of West Fargo, attempted to run on foot, but was captured by officers shortly after.

He was arrested for fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, hit and run, driving under suspension, fleeing on foot, possession of a concealed weapon and drug and paraphernalia possession.

The incident remains under investigation by the West Fargo Police Department.
