Victim Identified, Suspect Charged in Fosston Incident

 

New information from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has been released in regards to the early Sunday morning incident that claimed the life of a man in the community.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Timothy Hauge, of Fosston. An autopsy, conducted Sunday, found the preliminary cause of death to be cranio-cerebral trauma, due to blunt force trauma to the head. The preliminary manner of death is homicide, resulting from an assault from another person.

The suspect, previously identified as 29-year-old Nicholas Hauge, of Fergus Falls, is being charged with two counts of murder in the second degree.

The release, from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, states that the suspect and victim were brothers.
