Fargo Police to Kick Off Summer Outdoors Program

The Fargo Police Department will host its first Summer Outdoors Program this year starting on Friday, June 14th. The Outdoors Program was a vision of Community Trust Officer David Carlson stemming from his passion of the outdoors. Officer Carlson hopes to get kids disconnected from technology and interested in spending time outside and engaging in outdoor sports such as fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, and hunters safety. Twelve kids, ages 10 to 14, who were nominated by local schools and other Community Trust Officers will participate in this program each Friday through August 9. As with many of our programming opportunities, partnerships and donations from Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop and Tracker Boats, Scheels, River Keepers, Creative Plains Foundation, and the Red River Marksmanship Club made this program possible.
