Grand Forks Business Fails Alcohol Compliance Check

A Grand Forks business has failed an alcohol compliance check, done by the Grand Forks Police Department.

According to the police department, the checks were done, with the assistance of area youth, on July 11.

A total of 21 businesses were checked. Of the 21 business, one failed the compliance check. That business was JL Beers.

The Grand Forks Police Department says it conducts several compliance checks each year. The department uses youth from the community, under the age of 21. The youth enter an alcohol establishment, under the supervision of a police officer, and attempts to purchase alcohol, while in no way concealing their actual age.
