Court Documents Reveal Walmart Incident Details

Documents filed in the Grand Forks County District court reveal more details regarding the June 13 incident involving a possible handgun at Walmart on Gateway Drive.

According to court documents, when the responding officer arrived, dispatchers informed them the subject was a Native American male with beach blonde hair and was in the electronics section of the store. When the officer found the suspect, he was surrounded by two Walmart employees, yelling and swearing about recording the ‘racist employees’.

The officer struggled to get the suspect, who was identified as Brandon Dubois, under arrest. When two other officers arrived, they were able to handcuff Dubois.

No gun was seen on the scene, according to witnesses.

Brandon Gregory Dubois has been charged with Class C Felony Terrorizing, Class C Felony Preventing Arrest and a Class B Misdemeanor of Disorderly Conduct.

He is being held in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center on $2,500 bond. He is due in court for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, July 17.
